Superglue Orthodontic Retainer?

Dr. Rodger Droel says, “In a word, NO!”  If your retainer breaks, bring it in to our office right away and we will repair or replace it for you.  Your retainer is essential to keeping your teeth straight.  It needs to be checked regularly and kept in good repair.  Otherwise you could lose all the benefits of having orthodontic braces.

March 6 is the birthday of Harry Coover, the inventor of Superglue.  We use it constantly at home and in the office, but NOT ON ORTHODONTIC RETAINERS.

Superglue is a wonderful invention, but use it wisely!
